Toshiko Asai

Founder of Impact Hub Kyoto.

For many years, Toshiko has been promoting and supporting knowledge communities in Kyoto.

She is interested in the creative inheritance of social resources such as local people, climate, traditions, and culture, and has been involved in the creation of many attractive places (“BA 場” in Japanese) through their collaboration.

Her work covers a wide range of fields, including academia, public sector, business, and the civic sector. Her major work to date includes the establishment of the Kyoto Digital Archive Research Center and the secretariat of the Kyoto Culture Council.
